HeidelbergCement in Russia is part of the group of companies HeidelbergCement, one of the largest building materials manufacturers worldwide, the global market leader in aggregates and a prominent market player with leading positions in cement, concrete and other downstream activities. HeidelbergCement Rus has production facilities in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Leningrad Region, and the Tula Region with a capacity of 4.6 million tonnes of cement. The company’s share in the Russian market is about 7 percent. The total number of employees in Russia is 1 500. The company also operates terminals for the sale of high-grade cement from HeidelbergCement plants located abroad.

HeidelbergCement in Russia is a supplier of heavy building materials to Russian construction industry with a focus to different types of high-quality cement, crushed limestone and mineral powder. 


Russian company overview:

In 2001, HeidelbergCement acquired Cesla Cement Plant in the town of Slantsy, Leningrad Region,
170 kilometers from Saint Petersburg.

In 2006, HeidelbergCement acquired Gurovo-Beton, a facility producing non-metallic construction materials in the work settlement of Novogurovsky, Tula Region. The facility was used as the base for beginning the construction of a new cement plant in 2007. Tulacement, a plant with a capacity of 2 million tonnes, was put into operation in 2011. In 2015, the plant was made part of HeidelbergCement Rus as a branch.

Construction Materials, a cement plant and currently the branch of HeidelbergCement Rus in Sterlitamak, became part of HeidelbergCement in 2011, being one of the largest cement plants in the Urals and the only cement manufacturer in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

  • Cesla Cement Plant (Leningrad Region); capacity: 0.8 million tonnes of cement per year
  • Branch of HeidelbergCement Rus in Novogurovsky (Tula Region); capacity: 2 million tonnes of cement per year
  • Branch of HeidelbergCement Rus in Sterlitamak (Republic of Bashkortostan); capacity: 1.8 million tonnes of cement per year
