Sukholozhskcement is part of the international group BUZZI UNICEM.
Sukholozhskcement has 43 years of experience in producing high-quality construction and oil-well cement, whose quality is borne out by certificates, an API license, and international audit opinions about the Quality Management System as per GOST ISO 9001-2011 (ISO 9001:2008).
In 1913, N. V. Meshkov, a well-known entrepreneur of Perm, started the construction of the Sukhoi Log cement plant, which was put into operation as late as 1930.
The annual demand for cement in the Urals and the adjacent areas reached about 15 million tonnes by 1975; which is why the construction of a new facility, the Novo-Sukholozhskiy cement plant, was launched in 1967.
Over the years of operation, Sukholozhskcement has been recognized as the best cement manufacturer in the country more than 20 times; it was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor in 1976; more than 50 of its employees have governmental awards: orders and medals. In recent years alone, the company has built a cement-packing facility using soft containers, constructed a new argillite quarry, and rehabilitated the central laboratory, purchasing the latest generation of equipment made domestically and abroad (Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic). Without suspension of production, work continues on rehabilitating the cement mills using the latest international technology.
At present, Sukholozhskcement ranks among the 300 largest companies in the Urals Federal District and occupies a leading position in the cement market in the Sverdlovsk Region and the Tyumen Region (including the Khanty-Mansijsk Autonomous District and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District).
In 2010, the new fifth process line was put into operation. This marked the completion of the largest capital investment project in the Urals in the production of construction materials. The new line is actually a self-sufficient, fully automated plant with its own infrastructure.
